KL City FC Champion of Asean Zone AFC Cup 2022

Kuala Lumpur City made history in the AFC Cup football competition by thrashing Indonesia's PSM Makassar 5-2 in the Asean Zone final at the KLFA Stadium. KL City scored through Romel Morales (33rd minute), Jordan Mintah (47th), skipper Paulo Josue (51st minute penalty and 85th) and Hadin Azman (93th penalty). The Indonesian club replied through Yakob Sayuri (58th) and Akbar Tanjung (62nd). What made their win sweeter was that they did it in front of 2,905 supporters at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras.

Villarreal Malaysia Academy

Villarreal CF has reached Malaysia. Through the Villarreal Academy international expansion project, the club has created a new academy in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of the country in south-east Asia. Villarreal Malaysia Academy is aimed at youngsters from three years old to 21 years old. In 2022, the new academy will have the capacity to work with more than 400 players and 20 members of coaching staff. With Villarreal CF arriving in Malaysia, the club will offer big opportunities for footballers from Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas. The academy will officially start its activity in August 2022, opening its doors to all young talent from the area who want to be part of the official Villarreal CF partner academy, which plans to expand its reach by opening centres all over the country. As well as Villarreal Malaysia Academy, Villarreal CF has various academies around the world, as part of the Villarreal Academy project. The Yellows are currently working in countries such as the USA, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, Israel, Australia, South Korea and Malaysia.

Esports organisation SEM9 has announced the opening of the SEM9 Senai Esports Hotel located in Senai, Johor, Malaysia. There are seven different rooms with various sets of gaming setups (and four different regular rooms without gaming setups) that can accommodate from 2 to five guests. All rooms in the hotel include access to high-speed broadband and mobile internet access. The hotel, which has 122 rooms total (including the regular rooms sans gaming setup) is located just three minutes away from the Senai International Airport, and less than an hour of a journey by car to reach the local attractions including Legoland Malaysia and Johor Premium Outlets.

Mun Yee muncul atlet terjun kedua menerima pengiktirafan yang membawa gelaran Datuk selepas Pandelela Rinong dianugerahkan Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS) sempena ulang tahun kelahiran ke-85 Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud Sepanjang 27 tahun terbabit dalam sukan terjun, atlet kelahiran Perak itu telah menyumbangkan 17 pingat emas, lima perak dan lima gangsa dalam Sukan SEA.

Atlet Paralimpik Negara, Abdul Latif Romly Menerima Pingat Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (P.M.W). Beliau kini dikenali sebagai Datuk Latif Romly.

Beliau terkenal kerana berjaya memecahkan rekod dunia lompat jauh T20 sebanyak tiga kali pada hari yang sama lalu memenangi pingat emas ketiga Malaysia pada 11 September di Sukan Paralimpik Musim Panas 2016 di Rio de Janeiro. Beliau juga turut memenangi pingat emas acara lompat jauh T20 lelaki di Sukan Paralimpik Musim Panas 2020 yang berlangsung di Tokyo, Jepun.

King of Gamer Malaysia, Mohd Faris Zakaria (Soloz) telah menerima Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK)  Negeri Sembilan. 

Istiadat pengurniaan pingat itu berlangsung di Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan.

Pencapaian Soloz dalam dunia penstriman langsung termasuk Anugerah Pencipta Kandungan Facebook yang Paling Banyak Menerima Jumlah Tontonan di Malaysia yang pernah dimenanginya pada Julai 2019.

Pada Mei 2020, beliau menerima pengiktarafan dari Malaysia Book of Records sebagai pemegang rekod yang mempunyai Pengikut Facebook (E-Sukan) Paling Banyak.

Menerusi usaha kerasnya dalam menghiburkan komuniti, Soloz kini mempunyai lebih 2.6 juta pengikut di Facebook, 1.3 juta pengikut di Instagram dan 1.55 juta pelanggan di YouTube.

Selain bekerja sebagai penghibur penstriman langsung, Soloz juga pernah menaja sebuah pasukan PUBG Mobile tanah air, Anti Circle.

Soloz kini berkerja rapat dengan rakan kongsinya, Nureddy Nursal (Daddyhood) bagi membangunkan jenama Homebois dalam industri e-sukan, gaya hidup dan hiburan.

Kim Pan-Gon (53 tahun) dilantik menjadi ketua jurulatih skuad Harimau Malaya yang baharu.

Beliau turut membawa bersamanya 4 orang pembantu (Kontrak selama 2 tahun). Mereka akan mula bertugas pada pertengahan Februari 2022.

Beliau sebelum ini merupakan Penyelia skuad kebangsaan Korea Selatan yang juga bekas jurulatih skuad kebangsaan Hong Kong.
